1. Erik, one of the singers in the band, is talking to Li Weiyin, a journalist from CCTV. 埃里克，乐队里的一个歌手，正在与来自中央电视台的记者李伟茵说话。
1) one of the...后面必须接可数名词的复数形式，意为"......中的一个"。这一结构作主语，谓语动词要用单数。如: One of the singers wasn't very good. 其中的一个歌手不是非常好。
2) singer意为"演唱者；歌手"。这个词是由动词sing加上后缀-er构成的名词。类似的词还有：player, worker, teacher, seller, cleaner等。
2. More than five thousand people were there. 五千多人在那里。
more than 意为"超过；多于"，相当于over。
3. go on意为"继续进行"。go on常见的结构有go on with sth， go on doing sth等。如：1) Go on, I'm listening. 继续说下去，我听着呢。 2) Go on with your work. 继续做你的事。
4. They sang some of their most famous songs. 他们唱了一些他们最著名的歌曲。
形容词最高级前面一般要加定冠词the，但是当其前有形容词性物主代词、名词所有格等词语修饰时，定冠词the要省去。如：my best friend 我最好的朋友。
5. at the end of...意为"在......结束时；在......末尾；在......的尽头"。介词of不能省略，这个短语既可以用来表示时间，也可以用来表示地点。如：1) There is a school at the end of this road. 这条路的尽头有一所学校。 2) At the end of the story, they found the lost boy. 在故事的结尾，他们找到了那个失踪的男孩。
6. try to do sth意为"尽力（设法）做某事"，相当于do one's best to do sth。如：Let's try to go home before dark. 我们尽力在天黑前回家。
注意：try doing sth意为"尝试做某事"，只强调试一试，不含努力的成分。如： Don't worry. Let's try doing it in another way. 不要着急，让我们尝试用另外一种方法来做。
7. in a hurry意为"匆忙地；迅速地"。如：He was in a hurry to leave. 他急于离开。
8. get married意为"结婚"，相当于be married，只不过get married强调结婚的动作，而be married强调结婚的状态。表示"与某人结婚"时，要说be married to sb / marry sb。如： 1) Our teacher is married to his classmate in the college. 我们的老师与他的大学同学结婚了。 2) She wants to marry a rich man. 她想嫁给一个有钱人。
