This device produces the sound of flushing water without the need for actual flushing. The technology saves the user both the embarrassment of being heard during urination and some 20 liters of water per use in cases where a woman might flush the toilet continuously while using it. Every time I used Otohime, I felt like a princess, an environmentalist princess on the toilet.

　　It was a longed for feeling. Over the past decade, I shuffled in and out of many kinds of public restrooms in China--filthy smelly water closets in outlying areas, spacious luxurious lavatories in five-star hotels, forever-occupied girls stalls on campus during school, and smart modern mobile toilets in international fairs. But not one single "room" evoked my pride of being a princess. And I knew why the Sound Princess had. It was not because of the high technology the small bathroom boasted which is becoming ubiquitous worldwide. It was the idealism embodied in the technology that keeps reminding me that in this ever-changing world, I am a responsible and dignified human being even when sitting on a toilet.

　　Humanism, no matter how it is defined, aims to strike a balance between us being at the mercy of nature and being too human-centered. In my case, I havent relieved myself under a tree for a while. I am a proud, dutiful Chinese citizen. Gone are the days when people just found a corner to do their business resulting in poor sanitation and threats to public health. The Otohimetechnology renders me two warnings: First, I am a humble human being with an obligation to save not only my face but also natural resources. Second, there is still a long way to go in my own country not just in developing technology and the economy, but also in upholding human dignity and promoting human welfare. Take the toilet: Dirty, crowdedtoilets shall, at least, give way to clean, human-friendly ones.

　　I am a rich girl, because I have a lot of treasure. Friends are my treasures. Whenever I am sad and down, I know they would hold my hands and warm my heart. They show me how amazing the friendship is. Families are also my treasures. Whether time find us far apart or it keeps us close together, they are always standing by my side. They tell me how wonderful to be loved by people you love. Experience is my treasure. Whatever good or bad situation I have to face, it would show me the right way. 　　Good evening everybody! I am honored to participate this final. My name is xXx, and Crystal is my English name. I am from Environmental and Chemical Engineering Department. My major is Environmental Monitoring and Governance Technology. Now let me share my college life with you.

　　Before I attend college, I knew nothing about my future, and just because of the ardor for environment, I chose the major I study now. But I told myself: College life is an exploring process. Therefore, I stepped the way of exploring future. In the early campus life, some teachers told us: As a student, your duty is to study. I nodded.

　　However, the other teachers said: College life is colorful, you should enjoy yourself. “My God! What’s up?” In that period, I was very confused. Later, I did a lot of attempts such as work for the dining room of our school, sold the goods from door to door and played a worker’s roal in a factory on the last summer holiday in Tianjin.

　　Of course,I suffered a variety of setback. But they didn’t shake my determination of exploring future any more. Now,two years past, the ambiguous future life becomes clear. I realize how to go on my life, though it doesn’t go as my planning way, I know how to adjust myself. College life is an exploring process, and through those, I have found my answer. 　　In the afternoon, after I went to go class, my father took me .comto buy. I chose the most beautiful hair card for mom. I took out the money fromgo and paid the bill and went home with my father.

　　When I got home, I took out the CARDS I had prepared and sent them to momshand and put them on. "My child is sensible," said the mother excitedly. Afterthe meal, my mother just had to wash the dishes. I came to my mother and said,"Ill do the dishes today." Mom was delighted with the flowers.
