1、true adj. 真的，真实的
【辨析】指信息等与事实相符的，而非妄言或虚假的；也指友谊、爱情等是真正意义上的或名副其实的，此时通常作定语。
【例证】Is the news true? 这消息属实吗？
She gave a true account of what had happened. 她如实地讲述了发生的事情。
True friendship is worth more than money. 真正的友谊比金钱更有价值。
2、actual adj. 实际的，真实的'
【辨析】只作定语，强调某事物是真实的、实际存在的，而非理论上的、谣传的、假定的。
【例证】The actual cost was much higher than we had expected. 实际成本比我们预料的高得多。
The actual cause of this quake is still unknown. 这次地震的真正原因仍不清楚。
The play is based upon an actual event. 该剧本是根据真实的故事编写的。
3、genuine adj. 真正的，真实的
【辨析】强调物品货真价实而并非假冒伪造的，也指感情、欲望等真挚的。
【例证】 It is made of genuine leather. 那是用真皮做的。
This is a genuine painting by Picasso. 这是一幅毕加索的真画。
He has a genuine desire to help us. 他真心诚意地想帮助我们。
4、real adj. 真的，真实的
【辨析】既可用于有形的人或物，也可用于无形的事物，通常指实际存在且十分重要的；指物品是真的而非假冒或人造的时，常可与 genuine 换用；表示“真正意义上的”意思时只作定语，常可与 true 换用。
【例证】 That's where the real danger lies. 这是确实存在危险的地方。
Is your ring real/genuine gold? 你的戒指是真金的吗？
