这学期每个星期五，我都要去区庄上英语课外班，那里时常是一片欢乐的海洋。
我们的英语老师叫陈光。他的头圆圆的，像一个大西瓜。他戴着一副黑色边框的眼睛，架在高高的鼻子上。眼睛背后的一对眼睛炯炯有神。鼻子下是月牙般的嘴巴。从他的嘴里蹦出的都是标准的美音。他挺着一个“将军肚”。总之陈老师浑身上下都透着“有趣”。
终于上课了，陈老师迈着轻松愉快的肥胖身躯走了进来。照例，他先给我们做了一份热身的听力题，然后就开始讲解。一边讲解一边说好玩的`笑话。不过一会儿，在这种放松的气氛下，大家就开始说起话来，课堂乱得像个菜市场。于是，陈老师稍加严肃地说：“同学们，如果你们再讲话，我就只能—”正当我们以为会有什么严厉惩罚的时候，陈老师接着说，“让你们别讲了呗！”顿时，全班哄堂大笑，但随后又马上鸦雀无声。当然，传授知识是老师应尽的职责，陈老师也是一样，他总是一本正经地说：“毛主席曾经教导我们，am、is、are后面的动词要加ing。”每当这时，全班同学又会笑起来，连老师自己也会哈哈大笑起来。当然，陈老师该严肃时也会严肃。同学们问问题他会尽力解答，还会讲一些相关的知识。陈老师的发音特别标准，我甚至觉得比磁带里读得还好，真是让我佩服不已，这也激励我努力学习英语。两个小时的英语课没有课间休息，感觉瞬间下课了。下课后，陈老师马上播放英文歌曲，让我们边收书包边欣赏。
瞧，陈老师的上课方式与大部分老师不同吧。我以为陈老师是希望我们在快乐中学到知识，他认为兴趣是最好的老师，学英语只要有了兴趣才能持之以恒地学。所以每次上课陈老师都讲一些笑话，使我们感到学习英语是一件多么有趣的事情，而不是枯燥无味的。也许在课堂上学到多少东西不是关键，培养了兴趣才能在课后有动力坚持不懈地学。的确，我们只有对知识产生了兴趣，才能在生活学习中不断地吸收知识。这恐怕是我上“陈光英语”最大的收获吧。

上一周星期五下午最后一节课，我们学校举行了一年一度的英语节。
这件事，早在几个星期前陈老师就告诉我们了。这几天的英语课上，陈老师让我们全班一起排练节目----阳光四季。她先让我们读英语歌词，然后让我们站到教室里面，排成队形。
开始排练了，同学们精神抖擞，跟着老师大声唱着“goodbye to you……”，教室外虽然有点冷，但教室里的气氛却很热烈，我也跟同学们一样大声的唱着，唱着唱着，我的背上就开始冒汗了，脖子直发酸，两条腿也酸溜溜的，但看到同学们唱得非常认真，非常入神，心想：别人能坚持我为什么就不能坚持呢？于是，我又继续唱起来。在以后的两天里，陈老师请”专家”来为我们辅导，我们每天都有几节课在排练节目，我们排得很辛苦，但老师辅导得更辛苦，工夫不负有心人，我们的进步越来越大，我心里美滋滋的，对演出更加充满了信心。
为了我们的表演，老师一直在忙碌着，上星期五早上有三节课一直在排练，虽然我们很累，但有时在休息，可老师却一直站在讲台上比划动作，担心那一个动作没做好排练时会忘，老师排完集体，又给我们领唱的排练。在我看来老师一直没歇着。
最后一节课，就是英语节的第一个项目：每个班轮流演唱英语歌曲。
一班表演完了，轮到了我们班表演，我的心情既紧张又激动，队伍开始走动了，一上去就去瞅台下，哇！那么多人，随着音乐缓缓响起，马上我的心又平静下来，“goodbye to you，my trusted friend…….”慢慢地我做起了老师排的舞蹈动作……表演完了，我们大声说了一句：”thank you！”才恋恋不舍的走下台去。
通过这次英语节的英语合唱表演，我终于尝到了“先苦后甜”的滋味这次英语表演我真开心！

Others think it unnecessary. For one thing, students can easily form the habit of dependence. For another, students need time for rest and recreation at weekend. What’s worse, attending training classes or hiring tutors even causes some students not to listen attentively in their regular classes.
In my opinion, whether a training class or tutor is needed just depends. If you are really very weak at or interested in a certain subject, maybe it’s OK for you. But be sure to choose a good and suitable class or teacher, otherwise it would be a waste of time and money.
