清晨，大家在石校长和王老师的带领下来到了酒店的一间房间，石校长给我们7位参赛同学介绍了三位年长的英语指导专家。我们在老师和家长面前逐个进行预演。专家老师对我们演讲中的每一个单词发音、每一个动作表情和每一句语音语调都给予仔细而详尽的矫正指导，并且反复演练。由于房间较小，给我指导的那位专家爷爷甚至还和我并排坐在地上帮我矫 正发音，并绘声绘色地教我用各种不同声音来扮演不同角色。我们通过一上午的紧张训练都有了很大提高。
下午，石校长为了让我们尽早熟悉比赛场地，匆匆吃了点午饭就驱车带领我们来到比赛现场。比赛正式开始了，来自国内各地和港、澳参赛选手都发挥了很高的水平，真让我大开眼界啊！比赛选手有的声音响亮；有的动作幽默；有的发音标准；有的语音语调模仿得惟妙惟肖……我终于体会到那句：人外有人，天外有天的意思了。终于该我上场了，我深吸了一口气，尽量让自己砰砰乱跳的心平静下来。我微笑着看了看场下的评委和观众开始自己的演讲：Once upon a time, there lived a little old man and a little old woman……直到故事结束，当我听到观众热烈的掌声时，我才蹦跳着下了台。等到所有同学表演完毕后，评委老师现场打分，颁奖开始了。我的心顿时提了起来。夺得优秀奖的同学是……获得铜奖的同学是…….直到评委老师念到银奖的名单还没有我时，我真的很失望。突然，我听到：“获得金奖的小朋友是来自上海福山正达外国语小学的温哥华同学”时，我激动得跳了起来。我赶紧回头寻找坐在观众席中的爸爸妈妈和老师们。我看到他们为我竖起了大拇指。我想对你们说：谢谢福山！谢谢老师！谢谢爸爸妈妈！也谢谢和我一起参赛的小朋友们！是你们给了我舞台，是你们给了我帮助，是你们给了我勇气。最后，我还想对亲爱的许老师说：I love you！
