介绍家乡英语作文 篇1
My hometown Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi Province, stands on the eastern bank of the Gan River. An ancient city, its origins lie in the Han Dynasty over 2,000 years ago. In the late 1920s Carl Crow described it as a conservative town, surrounded by a high wall which had remained impenetrable even the Taipings, protected by the city god---the Universal Lord of Happiness; although Crow’s book came out in a fifth and thoroughly revised edition in 1933 there is no reference to the uprising or the activities in the soviets.
Modern Nanchang is a pleasant and prosperous city with a growing industry, places for recreation, and many historical sites connected with the Nanchang Uprising. Historical sites include the Plum Fairy Temple, which dates bark to the western Han Dynasty, and the Hundred Flower Islet, which is in the Bayi Park and dates back to the Song Dynasty.

Tofu is a very common food, but in the hands of the Hakka people, it turns into a famous Chinese food. I was born in Zhuhai, but it was a native Hakka, and that was why I had a better understanding of the delicacies of the Hakka food.
The delicacy of Hakka stuffed tofu, pickled Braised Pork and Salt Baked Chicken "and" Hakka delicacy "three kings", as long as there are places where Hakka people will have these three dishes. For Hakka people, they are both snacks and meals used to entertain guests at the banquet. My favorite thing is to make tofu.
The ancient town of Meizhou, there are "off", "South Central Plains people dressed" here, not only brought the culture of reading are top grade, have formed their own food culture of Hakka cuisine. The size of a matchbox tofu fried golden yellow, pork, fish paste made of "stuffed" into which, put green onion, sesame oil, Sheng in chicken soup simmered inside the cooker until fragrant. This is the Hakka people who came to Meizhou for a moment without wheat noodles to make dumplings so that it was made so delicious.
The tofu must be soft and crisp and enjoy the taste of human taste, and the stuffing must be sweet and tasty and smooth and tasty. I think not only to give people the enjoyment of vision, taste, but also to give people a feeling of happiness, a kind of happiness only when you eat. To be a success.
The brewed bean curd belongs to the Cantonese cuisine. The basic materials are bean curd, lean meat, fish, shrimp, cabbage, onion, ginger, sesame oil, pepper and so on. The brewed bean curd is not only tasty, but also easy to do. There are only four steps.
First, lean fish mince, small shrimp maceration cut young, salted fish cut young, cutting onions. Put all ingredients in a large bowl, add seasoning and stir until sticky; then put cabbage to pick a good wash, add oil, salt, boiling water scalded Sheng; then rinse tofu drip dry open four pieces, with a spoon to dig a small tofu, sprinkle a little flour, stuffed into the fish, add oil pan fried to yellowish Sheng; finally, hot pot of oil, saute ginger, add soup boil, add cabbage, tofu, boil, boil juice under frying and boiling, the pot on the table will be original.
It's very simple! It is this simple dishes, attracted thousands on thousands of foreign friends come to enjoy.
This is the food I can't forget all the time - brew bean curd。
介绍家乡英语作文 篇3
My home village is a beautiful village far from the town. There is a clear brook arcs around the village, making the vil]age like a peninsula.
On one side of the brook, are farmlands stretching as far as the eyes can see with farmers busy in the fields. The sunshines brightly through the pure, fresh air. After dark, I liked to roam around the fields along footpaths. The feeling was excellent.
On the other side of the brook, there are many trees. There are lots of green bamboo groves. The trees offer nice shade in the summer, and birds like singing in them. The bamboos sway gently in the fresh summer breeze. The brook runs calmly anti quietly through all this greenness, making a very nice picture.
This is my home village. It is far away in the country, but always with me,wherever I am.
介绍家乡英语作文 篇4
If you could change one important thing about your hometown, what would you change? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer.
If I could change one thing about my hometown, I think it would be the fact that theres no sense of community here. People dont feel connected, they dont look out for each other, and they dont get to know their neighbors.
People come and go a lot here. They change jobs requently and move on. This means that they dont put down roots in the community. They dont join community organizations and theyre not willing to get involved in trying to improve the quality of life. If someone has a petition to put in a new streetlight, she has a very hard time getting a lot of people to sign.
They dont feel it has anything to do with them. They ont get involved in improving the schools because they dont think the quality of education is important to their lives. They dont see the connection between themselvesand the rest of their community.
People dont try to support others around them. They dont keep a friendly eyes on their children, or check in on older folks if they dont see them for a few days. Theyre not aware when people around them may be going through a hard time. For example, they may not know if a neighbor loses a loved one. Theres not a lot of community support for individuals.
Neighbors dont get to know each other. Again, this is because people come and go within a few years. So when neighbors go on vacation, no one is keeping an eye on their house. No one is making sure nothing suspicious is going on there, like lights in the middle of the night. When neighbors children are cutting across someones lawn on their bikes, theres no friendly way of casually mentioning the problem. People immediately act as if its a major property disagreement.
My hometown is a nice place to live in many ways, but it would be much nice if we had that sense of community.
