首先针对细节题，它没有特别明显的特征，所以考生在做这类题时首先就要进行大范围的定位，根据四六级阅读题的顺序规律，可以根据题号定位大概的自然段。然后在这段内容里再进行小定位，优先定位题干中的关键词，如果题干关键词没有或者不适合作为定位，可以寻找选项关键词，这里注意要优先挑数字、大写等等好辨认的词进行定位。如果实在定位不出来题干的信息，那就在原文一句一句比对并排除选项。
其次是词汇题，词汇题是很容易辨认的，通常词汇题的出题方式有两种，要么是熟词僻意，要么是生词猜意。熟词僻意主要考查的就是考生平时的.基本功了，平时一定要多积累多背单词。生词猜义类的题型考生可以根据以下几种方式来搞定，第一，根据文章对应的上下文例子来判断意思，通常一些难词之后都会紧跟一个具体的例子来解释说明，看懂这个例子，那这个词就不难理解了。第二，根据紧随其后的修饰或者限定的从句来判断句子的含义。第三，当题目中考查的词汇是形容词时可以注意等位修饰，两个意思相近的词会放在一起出现，认识一个就能大致猜出另外一个的含义。
