为了给阅卷老师留下深刻的印象，考生还要做到：注意篇章结构，合理布局；确定主题句，开篇点题、结尾扣题、中间的.每一段都围绕中心展开并有主题句加以体现；准确恰当地使用高级语法结构。缺文改错体裁以记叙文为主，词数与书面表达一致，100个词左右。语言、篇章、结构难度不大，错误类型一般是考生在书面表达中的典型错误。
题目类型和解题要求即：对（打钩√），错（更正×），添（缺词∧），删（多词）高考改错试题一般正确1行，缺词1至2行，多词1至2行，错词5至6行。
答题时有些技巧不容忽视：语篇入手，注重上下文之间的逻辑关系；以句为阅读单位，以行为解题单位；关注行首和行尾的接连处是否有错误；把握七个一致（时态语态一致、主谓一致、平行结构一致、主饰一致、指代一致、搭配一致、逻辑一致）和一个语意重叠。
