To a large extend, the environmental destruction is the heavy price that we pay for the rapid development of economy and the growing population. In order to have more fuel, people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for energy are hardly to meet. Countless private cars on the street, the gas stations are short of gasoline, even the government has raise the price so many times in order to control the needs of gasoline, but it’s still not working. Overusing the natural resources has already affected the ecological balance. However, the factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted water into the rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the environment. I think it’s time for all of us to do something.

　　The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the environment from being further polluted. And they should let people know more about the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balance between the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. 　　1) very, much

　　这两个副词都可表示“很”，但用法不同。Very用来修饰形容词和副词的原级，而much用来修饰形容词和副词的比较级。例如：

　　使用零冠词的典型情形

　　所谓用零冠词，即既不用定冠词，也不用不定冠词。这类情况主要有：

　　1. 表泛指的不可数名词或复数名词前。如：

　　Snow was failing. 正在下雪。

　　Children get a better education today than at any time in the past. 现今孩子们受的比过去任何时候都好。

　　现在由于人类大量的'砍树荒漠正推着大自然，吞噬着整个地球难道就心该情愿的看着地球被破坏?有的塑料袋很难腐烂，被成为白色污染。每想到，一个小小的塑料袋竟然有这么大的危害。

　　中国自古以来就是礼仪之帮。古代昌盛的儒家思想，也都把“仁”和“礼”放在首位。古代的道德方面也是数不胜数，孔融让梨也是把最大的让给长辈……

　　我呼吁：不要再破坏我们的家园了，保护环境人人有责，保护环境从我做起，从现在开始。

　　Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world。 With the development of industry and agriculture， cars make great noises and give off poisonous gas。 Trees on the hills have been cut down，and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers。 Furthermore，wherever we go today， we can find rubbish carelessly disposed。 The whole ecological balance of the earth is changing。 Massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to man's existence。

　　We must face the situation that exists and take actions to solve our environmental problems。 For instance， new laws must be passed to place strict control over industrial pollution， the pub!ic must receive the education about the hazard of pollution and so on。 We hope that all these measures will be effective and bring back a healthful environment。

　　全世界的环境问题在变得越来越严重。随着工农业的发展，汽车制造噪音、排放毒气，山上的树木被砍伐，污水不断被排入河里。另外，无论我们走到哪里，到处可见随意丢弃的`垃圾。整个地球生态平衡正在改变，环境的巨大破坏已带来负面影响，甚至对人类生存带来巨大威胁。

　　我们必须面对现实，采取行动解决环境问题。例如必须通过新的法律严格控制工业污染问题，大众必须接受污染危害的教育等。我们希望这些措施的有效实施能带给我们一个健康的环境。
